Outdoor Activities: Walking and biking on the C & O Canal, hiking up Maryland Heights or along the Appalachian Trail, rafting and tubing on the Shenandoah or Potomac Rivers (www.rivertrail.com), western horseback riding at (www.elkmountaintrails.com).  All activities are within walking or very short driving distance.

Other Activities:  Our area hosts many attractions for visitors.  The Mountain Heritage Craft Fair takes place outside Harpers Ferry (www.harpersferrywv.net) twice a year, in June and in September.  Local stores in Brunswick, MD and Charles Town, WV make for wonderful shopping for antiques and "ol' stuff".  Frederick, MD and Shepherdstown, WV (www.shepherdstownvisitorscenter.com) both host seasonal events, parades and plenty of great restaurants!
